With immense gratitude for over 30 years of wonderful, inspirational music from Michael and his students. Sadly "Ring up the curtain" at the start of the concerts will never be the same again! My wife, Ann and I went across to Sandbach in 1993 to see Michael taking part in a Masterclass with Shirley Verrett. A truly memorable occasion - and how proud we felt to hear York so brilliantly represented by Michael. Thank you Michael for all you have done for music in York, so much of which will surely live on with your students and The De Costa Academy. Tony
